Yumna Zaidi is a well-known Pakistani actress. She is recognized for her unmatchable acting skills and is one of those rare performers who take the role and make it their own. It is said that no one can stop the serial from reaching its peak if Yumna takes the roles. She always performs well and inspires her admirers. She is also one of the innocent and simple Pakistani actresses who do not need artificial make-up. This beautiful lady was born on 30th July 1989 in Karachi, Sindh province of Pakistan, and recently resides in Texas. Due to work’s purposes, she has to travel from Karachi to Lahore and Lahore to Karachi.

Family:

Yumna belongs to a well-known family. Her father’s name is zamindar Zaidi who was a businessman. He is no more and died in June 2019 because of a heart stroke. Her mother’s name is Shabana Naheed Zaidi, a housewife and belongs to a village Arif Wala in Pakpattan, Punjab province of Pakistan. She has three siblings, two elder sisters Sloza Zaidi and Mehreen Zaidi, and a younger brother named Muhammad Shahzaib. She has very strong bondings with her family. She is much attached to her mother and mostly shares pictures with her mother, and captions show her love, care, and appreciation for her mother. She also loves her nieces snd shares pictures with them.

She also dedicates her awards to her dead father.

Education:

Yumna Zaidi is known by educated Pakistani artists. After completing her education, she joined the Home Economics College of Lahore to complete her graduation in Home Economics. She also has a master’s degree in interior designing and some experience in Radio Jockey and hosting.

Marital status:

She is still unmarried, and she did not expose yet any news about her life partner. She is also no engaged with any man.

Acting career:

Yumna was not aspired to move towards acting as a profession; however, after the insistence of her friend Affan Waheed she thought about acting and started her acting career by playing a supporting role in the domestic drama serial Thakan, which was premiered in 2012 on ARY digital. After completing this project, she appeared in another melody drama serial Khushi Ik Rog. This time, she performed by holding a lead role. Then she performed as a Maryam in another drama, the serial Teri Rah Mein Rul Gai, which was premiered in Urdu 1, and this time she was the opposite of Samiya Mumtaz and Sami Khan. In all these serial, to some extent, she has achieved the attention of viewers. Still, she received much praise from the admirers for performing emotionally intense characters in drama serials Meri Dulari ( 2013), premiered on Geo tv and Ullu Braye Frokht Nahi(2013), premiered on Hum Tv. The later one earned her the Best Supporting Actress nomination at Hum Tv Awards. 

Viewers also acclaimed her role as a troubled wife in the drama serial Rishtey Kuch Adhoorey Sy, which premiered in 2013. This serial made her a leading actress of Pakistan, and she earned Best Actress Hum Awards and the best actress popular nominations.

After doing these successful projects, she appeared in the drama serial Sannata, which premiered in 2013 and next time played a lead role with Sajal Ali and Agha Ali in Kashif Nisar,s doctoral Kis Sy Kahon. Viewers also appreciated her characters in this play.

After this, she performed acclaimed roles in other dramas like Mausam(2014), Madawa (2015), Guzaarish (2015), Jugnoo(2015), Kaanch Ki Guriya (2015), Paras (2015), and Ap Ki Kaneez( 2015) and got fame on a large scale.

She appeared in another drama serial, Zara Yaad Kar was the production of Momina Duraid. This time she portrayed re with super hit acter Zahid Ahmed and gorgeous Sana Javed. This serial was premiered in 2016 and was a blockbuster play having an unmatchable storyline. After this, she was seen on Hum tv’s screen by playing the role of Hayat in Yeh Raha Dil. A girl whose mother has died and her father deserts her at a young age. In this serial, her chemistry with Ali was praised by her fans at wide ranges and made her earn a nomination at Him awards of the best onscreen couple.

Later she worked in the Drama serial Pinjhra and sila. Sila was a victim of sexual harassment. This time, she was opposite of Nauman Ijaz and Saman Ansari.

A critic from the News international acclaimed her acting skills by saying,” With fewer dialogues and a tough subject in hand, Yumna pulled off her role effortlessly, making it believable from beginning till the end.”

In 2018 and 2019, she has worked in Pukaar by performing the role of Samra, who is the widow of the Feudal lord. And also has worked in Dil Kya Kray, which was premiered under 7th Sky Entertainment and directed by Mahreen Jabbar.

After completing this serial, she appeared in the social drama Inkaar by portraying the role of Hajra as opposite of Imran Ashraf and Sami Khan. 

Further, she appeared a tough and commendable role in Ishaq Zahhe Naseeb, one of the most-watched Pakistani dramas.

 In 2020, She also portrayed her extraordinary acting skills in Drama Serial Pyar Ke Sadqay as a Mahjabeen. This time she played a different role, and viewers appraised her role widely. For this serial, it is said that no such drama was created yet in the Pakistani drama industry.

For the banned crime drama series in 2016, she spoke in favor of this serial and raised her voice for it by saying, “it is based on a social cause and we should create awareness in our society through such drama serials.” In 2017, She was also seen in Mazaaq Raat, which was a celebrity comedy talk show.

She has received 7 Hum swards nominations. In 2018, she won Hum awards for best actress for drama serial Dar Si Jati Hai Sila and, in 2020, earned a Lux Style Award for best tv actress for drama serial Inkaar.
